Review: My Beauty Diary Strawberry Yogurt Amino Acid Cleanser

My Beauty Diary are made in Taiwan and they are one of my favorite sheet masks brands because they are oh-so-affordable!  Are they the best in the market? Probably not, but they are one of the best for the price that you are paying for.

My Beauty Diary Strawberry Yogurt Amino Acid Cleanser

I decided to purchase their Strawberry Yogurt Amino Acid Cleanser because at the Sasa website their Mild Cleansing Beauty Party Set that includes a 30ml and 90ml cleanser bottle and 4 sheets of Aloe Mask and 4 sheets of Strawberry Yogurt Mask was including a box of the Bird's Nest Mask for free with purchase.  The set costs  $29.50, still pricey but I really wanted to take advantage of the promotion.

The Skinny:  Nice thick and rich cleanser that foams with small beads that allow for light exfoliation and cleansing.  Doesn't make my skin extremely smooth as I had expected when I noticed the beads.  Still a little pricey.

Material/Texture/Scent:  If you care about the bottle, it is just a regular cheap plastic bottle with stickers for the labels. Nothing flimsy.  You should know, they are not Shisheido or any other major company.  For me, bottles don't affect me too much as long as they don't affect the goodies inside.  xP

As for the texture of the cleanser, it is really thick, rich and consistent.  They have little light beads good for light exfoliation.  I don't think it smells like strawberry yogurt, actually I don't think it smells like strawberry or yogurt. It reminds me of this hot chocolate body scrub that I used awhile back.  I don't think it smells bad or strong enough that makes me reject this.

It is so thick and rich that you don't need to use a lot.  I splash my face with water before applying it onto my face so that it is still thick and I can take advantage of the little beads for exfoliating my face with small circles with my ring finger.  Because it is so thick, make sure you do have enough water mixed with it so that it will move otherwise you are stretching your skin when you wash.  Then I gradually add more water and watch the cleanser foam.  I really like foaming cleansers so this is really great, because it is like a light exfoliation and a foaming cleanser in one.  

I like it, but I don't love it because I think that is a good cleanser.  I makes my skin fresh but with the little beads in place I kind of expected that it would make my skin instantly softer and extremely smooth.  Unfortunately, it does not give me the wow.  Or maybe I was expecting too much.  Still, I love the thick texture and the foaming capability of this cleanser.  When I use this cleanser, I don't need to use my Clarisonic or my other cleansing tools.  That is what is good about it.  I think I would still buy it though when the set goes on sale.
