DIY: Salt Facial Scrub

A very simple salt facial scrub to exfoliate away your dead skin to reveal clearer, smoother, brighter skin and to allow your skin to better absorb your serums and face creams.  It helps to prevent wrinkles and lightens dark spots.  I also make sugar scrubs, but salt kills germs.

What you will need:

  • less sodium table salt
  • olive oil
  • honey, serves as base, so you wanna have enough, but not so runny.
Mix everything together and apply it to your face.  Massage in a circular direction with your ring finger.  Be careful not to get it on your lips because it really stings and dries mine.  Be sure to add a little bit of water when you massage because the honey will start to dry.  Massage for 5 to 10 minutes, and wash with cool water.  Your face does get a little red, but that will go away.  I always use a sheet mask after exfoliating my skin because your skin absorbs the best after a good scrubbing! xP

That is about the right amount of mixture.

What you should get after mixing
